Cline Cellars2210 visitors
Once the site of a Miwok Village and then later the first camp of Father Altimira in his quest to establish the Sonoma Mission, the property offers sweeping views of the Carneros valley. The tasting room is located inside an original 1850's farmhouse, and is wrapped by a large and pleasant, old-fashioned porch for outdoor seating. Six spring-fed ponds, with lush green lawns, rustling willow trees, ever-changing gardens and the glorious, fragrant blossoms of over 5,000 rose bushes, surround the grounds. | Sonoma, CA Phone: (800) 546-2070 Website: http://www.clinecellars.com Appellation: Sonoma Coast Map to Cline Cellars

Marsanne
|
2005 Marsanne Roussanne Sonoma County
Marsanne and Roussanne are the Northern Rhone Valley’s two most important white wine grape varieties and are regularly blended together. There are under 250 combined acres of th ... moreese grapes in California making them a bit of a rarity.
This blend of Marsanne and Roussanne has a zesty orange character mixed with grapefruit and a wonderful mineral character. We did not expose the wine to oak aging allowing the wine to remain fresh and lively.

Viognier
|
2006 Carneros Viogner Carneros
Viognier comes to us from the Condrieu and Chateau-Grillet appellations of the northern Rhone. It was presumed to have arrived from Dalmatia and transported to the Rhone by Empero ... morer Probus in AD 281. Currently there are approximately 2,000 acres planted of this varietal in California.
Cline’s Viognier offers rich and distinctive aromas of peaches, apricots, orange blossoms and honeysuckle. Its blockbuster flavor and full-body mouth-feel make it an ideal match for spicy stir-fries, curried Thai dishes and grilled fish topped with fruit salsa. Serve slightly chilled.

2004 Syrah California
Syrah is a fantastic grape to work with in the cellar. The deep red-purple color explodes and fascinates each time it is poured into a glass. Its origins stem from the Rhône Vall ... moreey. The cracked black pepper aromas complement the black cherry fruitiness of this vintage and make it a great match for grilled Salmon and sautéed vegetables served over pasta.

2005 Zinfandel California
As always the California Zinfandel is a challenging and rewarding wine to produce. Severe selection criteria and master blending show in the final product, which showcases a wide a ... morerray of dark berry fruit including black cherry and raspberry. Additionally, spice notes and a lasting finish of vanilla from oak aging and firm, supple tannins add complexity to this wine. This wine is ready to drink now and will continue to develop complexity over the next three to four years.

2005 Big Break Zinfandel Contra Costa County
Eucalyptus mint, firm structure and exotic spice are key elements in our ’05 Big Break Zinfandel. Always one of our most robust wines, the 2005 oozes with power, revealing crisp ... moredark wild berries, exotic spice and vanilla. A distinct dusty berry character (reminiscent of picking wild black berries in the hot summer sun), what we affectionately describe as our "Oakley terroir," effuses predominately from this wine. This "Big Break" Zinfandel, which can be enjoyed young, should also benefit from 5 to 7 years of cellaring.
