The 2003 Oakley Five Reds is a Zinfandel and Rhone blend. The mainstay varietals are Syrah 41%, Zinfandel 27%, Petite Sirah 22%, Alicante Bouschet 10%, and Mourvedre 1%. The Syrah is from the cool growing regions of Sonoma and the Central Coast, the Zinfandel comes from the optimum growing regions of Contra Costa County and Lodi, the majority of Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Mourvedre come from our deep sandy soils of Oakley California in Contra Costa County.
