About Us
There’s something about wine that invokes an image of my much earlier years, where, at the side of each enticing supper plate at my grandparents, was a canning jar filled with an irresistible aromatic ruby red drink. Even us kids were allowed to sip. We were, after-all, of both Spanish and Italian heritage. Eating and sharing good drink was and is still a simple pleasure that has stood the test of time and brought about the great social bonding of family and close friends.
As an adult, my career path has been a wine-dy one (my palate talking), having owned and operated several businesses from real estate, to Internet Technology, to owning the popular local wine bar, Tannins. At Tannins, it was the connection cultivated with winery owners, growers, reps, connoisseurs and local wine lovers, all with a common passion for great wine and making new friends, that ultimately inspired the creation of our website, Crazy About Wine.
Now, our wine specialist partners and experienced technical Internet team have come full circle to bring you a wine portal that promises to serve every notion of the industry. We are dedicated to serving our growing wine enthusiasts community. May your celebrations be many and your friendships fruitful!
