Carignane
|
2006 Lodi Carignane Lodi
The 2006 Carignane is from 95 year old Rauser vineyard just outside Lodi. These vines are huge with arms as thick as tree trunks. This is a lighter style of red wine with aromas of ... more cherry and violets. When the wine is tasted the cherry aroma follows through as sweet as cherry pie with hints of toasty oak. This is a wine to be sacored in 2008 when the weather gets warmer.

Pinot Noir
|
2006 2006 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation
In 2005 we had a limited supply of Pinot Noir. This year we were able to locate new vineyard sources in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The 2006 Pinot is reminiscent of the elegant 2004 ... morevintage with dark cherry and violet aromas. This wine has a smooth tannin structure with flavor of Bing cherries and would pair well with a rack of lamb.

Syrah
|
2006 Monterey County Syrah Monterey County
This rich dark Syrah comes from the southern end of Monterey County where things are a little warmer than by the bay. The wine displays aromas of violets and cherries. This is a fu ... morell bodied wine that has the flavors of dark pie cherries, along with licorice and black pepper spice. There is a tannic structure that is well integrated with the rest of the flavors of this powerful wine.

Zinfandel
|
2006 Retro Label Lodi Zinfandel Lodi
The 2005 Retro Zinfandel has been a very popular wine for BARGETTO, and the 2006 promises to follow along with more of that same great cherry pie fruit flavor. While most Zins are ... morehigh alcohol blockbusters, here at BARGETTO we like to make our Zins with a little more restraint...this one comes in at a respectable 14.5%. You can taste the red cherry fruit along with black pepper spice and hints of oak. Thre is a firm structure of tannin that will make this a wine to compliment rack of lamb or veal.

Merlot
|
2004 Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot Santa Cruz Mountains
The grapes for this Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot came exclusively from Regan Estate Vineyards. The cool climate growing condition is responsible for producing an intense dark cherry ... more and berry aroma in this wine. There is black pepper spice with hints of tobacco and menthol. The wine has firm tannins with a full mouthfeel and will continue to develop into the bottle for the next 3-5 years.
| |
Pinot Grigio
|
2006 Santa Cruz County Grigio Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation
This years Pinot Grigio is a blend of two vineyard sources, Regan in the mountains and Basor vineyard on the level near Watsonville. The Basor fruit brings citrus and jasmine aroma ... mores to this crips wine. The citrus translates to grapefruit in the pallet along with peach and apple flavors.
| |
Sauvignon Blanc
|
2006 Monterey County Sauvignon Blanc Monterey County
One of the winemaker's favorites, this wild (sauvage) white has a gorgeous juiciness of tropical starfruit and delicate jasmine. The palate is rounded by just a hint of oak and bal ... moreanced with uplifting acidity. Versatile, refreshing, and styled for enjoying now (but will hold, if you can help yourself, one to two years.)

Chardonnay
|
2005 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation
The grapes for this Chardonnay came from our own Regan Estate Vineyards. We grow two clones of Chardonnay there: Mount Eden and Clone 4. This wine is a blend of the two. The 2005 C ... morehardonnay has aromas of citrus, particularly of grapefruit, with hints of oak and butter. There is a lingering mouth feel and a refreshing acidity that will make this a great food wine.
| |
Chardonnay
|
2006 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation
The 2006 Chardonnay Regan Reserve is a blend of two clones of chardonnay from the estate vineyard. Ninety percent of the wine is the Mount Eden clone, which develops later in the s ... moreeason than clone 4, the other constituent. Wine made from Mt. Eden clone has much more intensity in flavors and aromas than some other clones of chardonnay as shown with citrus, green apple and floral aromas. This follows with additional flavors of toasty oak and vanilla from the oak aging and viscous mouth feel with crisp finish.

Rosé
|
2007 Santa Cruz Mountains Frescolino Dry Rose Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation
This is our second year of making Rose from the Santa Cruz mountains. The grapes for this Rose came from our own Regan Estate Vineyard. The 2007 Frescolino has floral and citrus ar ... moreomas with hints of quince and roses. The citrus flavors are complemented with hints of pomegranate and peach. There is a lingering mouth-feel and a crisp acidity that will make this a great food wine for spring time picnics.

Port
|
2005 Sierra Foothills Port Sierra Foothills
This wine is a blend of true Portuguese grape varieties. The grapes were grown at the St. Amant Vineyard in Amador County, in the Sierra Foothills. Here the climate of long warm su ... moremmer days and nights maximize the sugar levels. This is so important in the productin of Port. The wine is dark purple with flavors of blackberry jam, cassis and tobacco. The finish lingers with hints of Seville orange. This is a very enjoyable dessert wine.
| |
Dessert Wine
|
2006 Orange Muscat
All of the Muscat varieties have a very distinctive floral aroma. Orange Muscat is no exception in this case the aroma of Seville oranges predominates. To me this wine is reminisce ... morent of orange marmalade on hot cinnamon rolls. Being a dessert wine this wine is sweet, but not cloyingly so.

Chaucer's Cellers Olallieberry Wine
"Olallie" is a word for berry that was used the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. An olallieberry is a hybrid cross of a loganberry and a youngberry which are both crosses ... more themselves (loganberry = raspberry X blackberry; youngberry = blackberry X Texas dewberry). Because the olallieberry has blackberry forbearers on both sides of its parentage, it is not surprising that it exhibits many of the same flavor characteristics. However, olallieberries are much larger in size and generally are sweeter than blackberries grown under the same conditions. Although this wine exhibits richness similar to a fine liqueur, this specialty dessert-style beverage is not fortified and contains only 10.5% alcohol. Hence, this wine should be consumed shortly after purchase to enjoy its natural and rich fruit flavor. Also, it is recommended to refrigerate this delicate product after opening.

Chaucer's Cellers Pomegranate Wine
With fruit sourced from orchards in the southern San Joaquin Valley of California, this dessert-style wine has a silky elegance in the flavor profile. Being quite versatile, you ca ... moren enjoy this wine by itself, as a spritzer, splashed into a sparkling wine...or even to liven up a martini!

Dessert Wine
|
Chaucer's Cellers Mead
This wine is produced utilizing fresh honey without the addition of artificial flavorings, concentrates or artificial colorings. Even though greater production difficulties ensue b ... moreecause pure, raw honey is used for fermentation, the intensity of flavor generated through this technique is worth the effort. Although this wine exhibits richness similar to a fine liqueur, this dessert-style beverage is not fortified and contains only 11% alcohol. Hence, this wine should be consumed shortly after purchase to enjoy its natural and rich flavor.
