Tempranillo
1614 visitors
| Tempranillo is a variety of Vitis vinifera, a red grape commonly used in winemaking. This grape is native to Spain where it is widely grown. The name is derived from the word temprano (meaning early in Spanish) due to the fact that the grape ripens several weeks earlier than most red varietals. Tempranillo is often referred to as Spain’s noble grape and is the main variety in Rioja wines. | | More information on Tempranillo | | Food Pairing: Pairs well with tapas, sheep cheeses and with classic Spanish dishes such as roast lamb, fish and olives. |
