Fleming Jenkins Vineyards & Winery829 visitors
| In 1999, we planted a small Chardonnay vineyard on our ridge top property in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, high above the town of Los Gatos. We loved it! That experience inspired us to go to the next level and launch our own winery. Today, we continue to farm and harvest our vineyard, and make our new wines in the historic Novitiate Winery close by in the Los Gatos hills, alongside Testarossa Vineyards. | Los Gatos, CA Phone: 408-358-4949 Website: http://www.flemingjenkins.com Appellation: Santa Cruz Mountains Tasting Room: Fleming Jenkins Tasting Room

2006 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay Jenkins Vineyard
The fruit for this wine was grown in our home vineyard, resting at 1,400 feet in the foothills of California's Santa Cruz Mountains above Los Gatos. Planted in 1999, there are appr ... moreoximately 650 vines that produced just over two tons of fruit for the 2005 harvest. The grapes were hand harvested early in the morning and transported directly to the winery. They were then whole cluster pressed and fermented and aged in French oak barrels.

2005 Livermore Valley Syrah Madden Ranch
We are very excited about the Syrah grapes from John Madden's Livermore Valley vineyard. John and Peggy are fellow ABC sports commentators, and during a lunch in New York City, Joh ... moren learned we wanted to produce Syrah. He graciously offered us grapes from his family vineyard and we were happy to accept!
Madden Ranch has 20 acres of Concannon clone Syrah—one of the oldest Syrah clones in California—all on 5BB rootstock.
Grapes were harvested on October 5, 2005 and were taken to our winery where a 3 day cold soak was followed by yeast inoculation. The wine was aged in French oak for 14 months before bottling.
