| Westbrook Wine Farm is a vineyard and winery in the Sierra Foothills of eastern Madera County, California, near Yosemite National Park. Our mountain vineyard is planted to a field blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. We practice sustainable farming and minimalist winemaking. We make our wine in the traditional Claret style by co-fermenting grapes, rather than by making separate varietal wines and then blending them. Our FAIT ACCOMPLI includes all six of these varieties, permitted for use in Bordeaux or Meritage wines. | O’Neals, CA

The incredible numbers and perfect physiological maturity at lower sugars of this classic varietal speaks very well of the professional care given by Kenwara Vineyard in Madera. Th ... moreis might not mean much if we were talking about White Riesling grown in cold Mendocino County but no one has ever recommended it be planted in warm Madera County. We barrel fermented it to total dryness then whisked it off to cool stainless steel to preserve flavors before bottling. Uber Rhenish will make you smile and have you asking for more.
