Mountain vineyards are known for tremendous acid retention, smaller clusters and low yields, resulting in intense, balanced and well-extracted fruit. While the goal with this wine was never to obtain excessive ripeness and extract, it maintains focused fruit and a food friendly nature. This wine was held in the finest French oak barrels (30% new) for 18 months before bottling and bottle aged for an additional 30 months prior to release. Crafted in a style which will evolve gracefully for many years, this wine will be appeal to the Sonoma County Cab fans.
