2007 Off-dry Cole Ranch Riesling Cole Ranch
Our 2007 Riesling has got it all--excellent acidity, and ripe, complex fruit flavors. It begins with lots of apple and citrus aromas, including pineapple and lemon. The mouth start ... mores with that typical Cole Ranch acidity, but there is plenty of ripe fruit. Really a sweet-tart thing going on. The experience ends with a terrific finish. Try this wine with spicy foods, desserts and on the patio.

Pinot Noir

2006 Pinot Noir Reserve- Esterlina Vineyards, Mendocino Cole Ranch - Esterlina Estate Vineyard
Our Cole Ranch Pinot Noirs are usually very different from our other pinots because Cole Ranch’s weather is cooler, and the vineyard is at a higher elevation. This vintage, howev ... moreer, is elegant and restrained, yet full-bodied, with spicy berries, and cherry cola flavors.

2007 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley, Esterlina Estate Vineyard Anderson Valley - Esterlina Estate
The 2007 Esterlina Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir is very much like our 2006 Anderson Valley Reserve Pinot Noir—a wine we believe to be among the best we have ever produced. Again, f ... morerom this vineyard, one is apt to get those ripe black cherry, plum, earthy mushroom and spicy cinnamon flavors, and this wine shows those traits. For as ripe as it is, however, it has more than enough acidity. It ends with the customary very long finish.

2005 Mario’s Gran Roja Tres Appellation Blend Sonoma County
Our father is always asking us to make a “big, chewy, full-bodied red.” This wine is made and named for him. We took our Alexander Valley Cab, our Cole Ranch Merlot, some Syrah ... more from our new Everett Ridge property, and added a tincture of Bacigalupi Petite Sirah. We arrived at a very good bottle of wine. And we priced the wine to make it a terrific value. The Gran Roja (Spanish for “Big Red”) begins with ripe blackberry, plum and oak scents. The mouth has wonderful flavors of juicy dark cherry, plum and spice, with medium tannins. The finish is long and spicy. While it will pair well with the fare that accompanies a traditional Bordeaux wine, Gran Roja is terrific by itself. 498 cases.

Our 2006 Sauvignon Blanc is full of bright citrus flavors—plenty of grapefruit, lime and lemon. With 100% stainless steel fermentation, it is a very refreshing, enjoyable bo ... morettle of wine. Pair it with lemon chicken pasta, spicy foods, or just quaff it.

2005 Sonoma Mountain, Janian Vineyard Syrah Sonoma Mountain, Janian Vineyard
The third vintage of wine we have released from this vineyard, it is a classic, cool weather Syrah--think northern Rhone, rather than California. It starts with plum, blueberry and ... more smoky, cigar box aromas. The mouth has wonderful flavors of ripe dark berries and pepper, with silky tannins and good acidity. The finish is great, too. Enjoy.

2004 (Alexander Valley, Esterlina Lazy S Vyd) Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley, Esterlina Lazy S Vineyard
2004 was a very strong vintage in all of the appellations we grow fruit in. Our Lazy S Vineyard, in the Alexander Valley, yielded some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon we have seen f ... morerom that property. The cherry, nut and toasted oak aromas are enticing. The mouth has wonderful flavors of juicy dark cherry, black currant, plum and spice, with firm, drying tannins. The finish is long and spicy. Easily the finest Cabernet Sauvignon we have ever released, this one will age very nicely.

Port
|
2004 Sonoma County Port Sonoma County
This year’s Port is blend of Syrah from the Janian Vineyard in Sonoma Mountain, Cabernet Sauvignon from our Alexander Valley property, and a small percentage of Merlot. Like the ... moreprevious vintage, this is rich, smooth and complex, with flavors of red berry, black cherry and a bit of baking spice. We didn’t make very much of this varietal so it will not be around for long. 300 cases.
