Our wines are crafted from grapes grown on the Don Raffaele Estate, a vineyard nestled on the instep of Napa’s Mount Veeder. The vineyard was named for my late father, who introduced me to the art of winemaking many years ago, and the brand was named after my wife’s family. As a gentleman farmer, I have grown grapes and made wine on this hillside estate for fifteen years. The microclimate of our small valley is one of the best kept secrets in the Napa Valley. Its terroir is similar to the well-respected vineyards of the Pomerol region of Bordeaux, imparting intense and unique flavors to the grapes grown here. It has been our great pleasure over the years to share with our family, friends and club members, the best that we can take from the land that is in our stewardship. | Napa, CA Phone: (707)259-0175 Website: http://www.cranefamilyvineyards.com Appellation: Napa Valley |

Napa Valley Estate Merlot
The Merlot varietal dominated our early years of winemaking, and as such, is the variety we are most experienced with. We discovered early on that our vineyard has considerable pa ... morerallels to vineyards in the esteemed Pomerol region of Bordeaux, France and sought to emulate their style. Our winemaker, Alison Doran, has made wine in the very region that we consider our model. The result is that our Estate Merlot is a very serious wine, often tasting like a fruity, moderately tannic Cabernet. Ruby in color, it has aromas of oak, spice and dark cherries. The mouth fills with the taste of cherries, sassafras and bell pepper. A light spiciness is derived from bay leaf, growing on trees that line the western edge of the vineyard. The tannins are gentle and the finish is long and silky.Available in 750ml, magnums and 3.0Liter bottles

Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
The Cabernet block on our vineyard was planted seven years after our Merlot block, and is situated in alluvial clay soil on the southernmost point of our estate. 100 of the 2,500 ... moreCabernet vines are Cabernet Franc, the fruit being field blended with the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Cab Franc, comprising approximately 4% of the total blend, adds complexity and dimension to our Cabernet Sauvignon. The dark garnet color with aromas of vanilla, currant and tobacco gives way to the mouth-filling taste of ripe black cherry and blackberry with a hint of mocha. Gentle tannins are present throughout, creating a wonderfully silky sensation on the palette.
