Nicholson Vineyards is a small family owned wine and olive estate, located in beautiful Pleasant Valley, which is nestled in the foothills of South Santa Cruz County. Brian and Marguerite Nicholson planted their vineyards in 1996 and the olive grove in 2005. They grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, along with five Italian olive tree varieties.

With the 2006 harvest, the winery, will produce only 425 cases of Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir along with other special varietals. With the production of such limited quantities, the Nicholsons are able to pay close attention to all details in both the growing of the fruit and the production of their wines.

Rich in family tradition, with Brian being a 9th generation Californian, they are dedicated to this labor of love and enjoy the rewards of harvest time.

This concentrated cherry-filled Pinot takes on a range of classic Sonoma Coast characteristics and flavors including dried violets, black tea and cranberries, all nicely layered with sweet oak and a wisp of forest floor. This gregariously youthful wine dances on your palate with just enough acid and ...
