Flavorful, intense wines - that is our goal. We believe every wine should be bursting with flavor. This intensity should be part of a greater balance. We find that each of our vineyards has its own "sweet spot" of balance. It is our charge to guide each vineyard to its optimum flavor potential.

Our single vineyard wines are blended to express the specific qualities and consistencies of our pedigreed vineyards. Pinot Noir is the perfect palate to define the terroir of these plantings.

2004 Syrah
Amber Ridge Vineyard

Our 2004 Amber Ridge Vineyard Syrah is our inaugural vintage of this variety. We decided to make this wine in the same style as we make our Pinot Noirs. By doing this we hope to ca ... morepture the true essence of Russian River Syrah. The grapes were cold soaked, then fermented at moderate temperatures. 35% of the fermentation lots consisted of whole clusters, contributing to the mouth-feel and complexity. We have held this wine for one year in the bottle to give the wine time to relax and integrate before releasing it to you.

2005 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch
Keefer Ranch

Keefer Ranch is owned and managed by Marcy Keefer along with her son Craig Strehlow. The vineyard has 50 planted acres, 20 to Chardonnay and 30 to Pinot Noir. Located in the heart ... moreof Green Valley, the site has a superb micro-climate, offering just the right amount of warmth during the day and very cool nights which leads to grapes that produce an intensely red fruited wine with strong natural acidity and focus. We were fortunate to obtain a small allocation of fruit in 2005 which consisted of three clones; Pommard 5, 777 and 23.

This mountain grown Merlot is deep in color with intense fruit flavors reminiscent of black cherries, currants, and black berries.
