| The Hoopes Family Winery and Vineyard has been a labor of love. I have been a wine aficionado and collector for over thirty years, but I have never planned on getting into the winemaking business. In our case, we were fortunate when selecting land for our new estate on Oakville to purchase 14 acres that happen to be some of the greatest grape growing territory in Napa Valley. A nose of dark cherry, currants rose petals, all-spice, and new leather. The wine is full-bodied, wonderfully spicy, with fine tannins on the finish. A pleasure to drink now, but ... more also promises to develop subtle, supple layers over time.
