2003 Sangiovese
Our Sangiovese is not like other California Sangioveses ours is a Super Tuscan with an attitude! We mean fruit. Produced from an Antinori Grosso clone, this is one big, beautiful wine. The combination of the quality characteristics from the rocky Howell Mountain soil it comes from and patience during ripening and you get a thoroughly spectacular wine. The color is deep purple. The mouth is silky and slightly exotic with mild pomegranate flavors. The finish literally makes your mouth water. It drinks well now, and should still shine in 8-10 years.
