J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines Cuvee |
2003 Cuvée PAU Paso Robles
The 2003 J. Lohr Cuvée PAU has a saturated red-purple color with excellent hues. The nose is very reminiscent of its Bordeaux namesake, with coffee and forest floor notes combined with red currant and cherry fruit with hints of chocolate. The fruit is complemented with toasty and tarry French oak. The wine displays the full-bodied nature of Cabernet Sauvignon with rich currant fruit and mid to rear structure from both the fruit and the oak. On release, this wine will already have one year bottle age but will age well into the future. In its youth it should be enjoyed with a hearty steak, or as it ages, with beef tenderloin and rack of lamb. This wine should be allowed to breathe or decant prior to serving. |
