Rutherford Hill Winery Rosé |
2004 Rose of Merlot Napa Valley
Americans suddenly seem to realize what people along the Mediterranean Coast have known for centuries: rosé can be every bit as compelling as red or white wine, if it's made the right way. For us, that means using 100% Napa Valley fruit; barrel fermenting and sur-lie aging the wine for added richness; and striving for balance and complexity, the common denominators for all great wines.
Brisk and refreshing, reminiscent of fresh strawberries, raspberries and plums. This vintage is drinking beautifully right now and is the perfect apertif wine! |
