Inspired by the owner, Papou in greek translates as grandfather. A composite blend of our estate grown white varietals, brings out an exotic well polished wine. Comprising of 33% Marsanne, 24% Viognier, 24% Grenache Blanc and 19% Roussane.
In the glass, Papou glows with a crisp, pale straw color, with a floral rose based aroma bought out by the viognier. Surrounding the mouth, it begins with hints of marmalade jam & tropical fruits on the front , finished with lingering contrasts of melon, apricot, candied ginger & white pepper. Aged on Sur Lie for 10 months with 20% new oak, "Grandfather" will hold his own, just like John.
