2005 Zinfandel
Dry Creek Valley, Mounts Vineyard
This 2005 Zinfandel was hand-harvested from 35-40 year old head-pruned vines from Mounts Vineyard on the west side of Dry Creek Valley. This deep ruby-red wine offers mouth-filling aromas of spice, ripe raspberry and plums. Mouth-filling flavors of red currant laced with cinnamon and plum are complemented by a hint of black pepper. French and American oak flavors round out this well-balanced wine. It is an excellent match for lamb kabobs, beef stew, or even a flourless chocolate cake.
