We are so pleased with the intensity and the classic Zinfandel character from this young vineyard that we decided to produce a vineyard designated wine starting with the 2003 vintage. We carefully selected 8 out of 22 barrels for this blend, representing three of the four vineyard blocks. This wine epitomizes our stylistic goal of a combination of intensity and seamless balance. Concentrated blackberry and raspberry fruit aromas with hints of black pepper lead into a rich, dense, but never clumsy, mouthful of good ol’ Zin.
