Coturri Winery Zinfandel |
2005 Zinfandel Chauvet Vineyards
Bob and Blyth Carver have owned Chauvet vineyards since the early 1970's. They named their vineyards after John Chauvet the founder of the town of Glen Ellen. This Zinfandel is reminiscent of the Zinfandels produced in the late 1970's: very dark color, aromas of blackberries, a sweet middle and a dry acid finish. A very BRIGHT wine that is pleasing to the palate.
Try it with a piece of blue cheese and loaf of sour dough bread after a long, hard day. Other matches could be hearty stews and bittersweet desserts. |
