This wine combines fruit from two small, family-owned vineyards in Paso Robles—Margett Vineyard and Rancho Dos Amigos. Vintage conditions in 2005 were excellent, bringing warm, even temperatures, promoting a gradual ripening of the grapes. This Zinfandel is vibrant and well balanced, featuring aromas of plum, blueberry and cranberry with hints of vanilla, spice and subtle oak. A velvety mid-palate and firm acidity give way to a clean, yet lingering finish.
