2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
Chiles Valley District

The 2003 growing season was memorable for its unpredictability. Early rain and late heat spikes resulted in a lower overall yield but produced a vintage with high quality, great color concentration, and intense flavors. The nose shows layers of dried tobacco leaves, ground coffee beans, a dusting of Valhrona chocolate, and dark fruit blossom. This wine has a phenomenal texture with very fine tannins and a silky mouthfeel and dark lingonberry fruit flavors integrated with berry blossom and toasty oak. This wine has amazing structure and the expressive tannins indicate great cellaring potential.
