2004 Zarzuela
Zarzuela is the Spanish word for "operetta," a romantic musical. Just as many voices and instruments come together to form the musical Zarzuela, this wine blends Spanish and Portuguese grape varieties to achieve a harmonious result: Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo, Souzao and Touriga Francesca, are aged 12 months as separate components, then blended and returned to barrel for further aging.
The Zarzuela has enticing aromas of rose petals, leather, and spice. Black cherry, cedar, black pepper and vanilla flavors blend beautifully on the palate, with a bold, spicy finish.
