2003 Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful and elegant expression of the rugged terrain, high up in sagebrush country, on which it was grown. Upon opening, the nose possesses elements of candied lavender, tea leaf, elderberry and sage underbrush. These dark and brooding elements make way to a second wave of violet, perfume and cola berry aromas. The mouth is filled with high tones of plum, filbert and cacao nibs, while rich currants concentrate on the mid-palate in a broad swath of richness. Floral notes, glycerol, delicate acidity and more blackcurrants linger into a clean dry extended finish.
