From the same plot that gave us the marvelous syrah for the legendary bottlings of our Syrah Première Cuvée, this offering shows velvety, deep fruit flavors that suggest mulberry and blueberry. The distinctive Renaissance terroir is evident in the minerality and in the remarkable depth of fruit. This is a very large-scale wine that, while drinking well now, will reward long-term aging. The refined tannin is very well worked and there is no hint of harshness while maintaining firmness on the palate.
