Vigil Vineyard

1852 visitors

Established in 1992, Vigil Vineyard is the culmination of proprietor Jamie Pawlak's lifelong interest and fascination with fine wine and the winemaking process. After years of study and making wine on his own, he took his first steps into the wine industry in 1989, acquiring a fifty year old 10 acre vineyard north of Calistoga in California's famous Napa Valley. Planted in the 1940s and abandoned in the mid eighties, Jamie, by employing organic viticultural practices, was able to reestablish the vineyard with wonderful results; producing intensely flavored grapes from these old low yield vines that were used to create the first bottling of the winery's proprietary red table wine, Terra Vin.
