2005 Syrah
This is the first time that we have done a Syrah and we are excited by the results! We got some amazing fruit from Contra Costa County, one of the best regions to grow this particular varietal, and the vineyard is owned by our winery building contractor, which keeps it all in the family. The wine is a beautiful garnet color with a nose of roasted blueberries, cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, the flavor of plush fresh fruit is ripe, round and wonderfully balanced. All the way through to its velvety finish, this wine is a stunner and will pair beautifully with grilled and smoked food of all varieties.
