2004 Black Coyote Cabernet Sauvignon

When asked about his winemaking philosophy for Bates Creek Vineyard, Black Coyote wine, Winemaker Art Finklestein responded, “Why, it’s the same as my own… Find the best possible fruit, and bring out all its superlative aspects.”
The 2004 vintage offered Black Coyote superlative Cabernet for our winemaking program. Napa Valley has daily microclimates that ultimately dictate every season’s vintage as a completely singular possibility for success. The Black Coyote grapes were harvested from their Stags Leap District vineyard on October 20. Longer hang time provided more varietal character build-up in the fruit.”
