2004 was a near perfect vintage producing great wines across the varietal spectrum here in the Alexander Valley. An early rain-free spring spurred sooner-than-expected vine growth and bud break. These factors, in combination with moderate summer temperatures and light crops, led to one of the earliest Sonoma County harvests in a decade.
