2006 Mojo Red

Husch has seen several generations of family over the years and now the fourth generation is toddling through the winery. At age 5 Morgan Joseph ('Mojo') isn't quite a full fledged winemaker, but he is a favorite with tasting room staff and visitors.

Our goal with the wine has not changed. You can still expect a Cabernet Sauvignon based wine that is affordable and ready to drink tonight. With the 2006 vintage we blended Cabernet Sauvignon (71%) and Carignane (29%). Approach this wine with high expectations; despite the price this wine is hand crafted in small batches.

The 2006 vintage offers a deep garnet color. Aromas reminisce of black cherry and blackberry -- with a hint of tobacco and clove. The wine offers similar flavors, a nice structure, and a little smoke on the finish.

Mojo Red is meant to be enjoyed while young (it is served as the "house red" at many Mendocino County restaurants) and is an excellent affordable choice for a large gathering. Try it with grilled steaks, pasta, pizza or your favorite burger.
