2004 Pinot Noir, Amour Fou
The 2004 Amour Fou is 100% Pinot Noir. A majority (53%) of the fruit comes from the inaugural harvest of the D. Giovanetti Vineyard, which is in Green Valley, a cool sub-appellation of the Russian River Valley. This vineyard is a monopole for Red Car. We expect great things from this site. In the future it may become our first vineyard designated pinot. The remainder (47%) of the fruit is from two clones (828 and 777) of the Sleeping Beauty Vineyard, which is owned and farmed by George Martinelli.
