2006 Pinot Noir, Amour Fou
As we source cooler climate sites for pinot noir, the style of Amour Fou is evolving. In fact, the 2006 Amour Fou is now a Sonoma Coast appellation wine. The vineyard blend is La Boheme (60%), Zio Tony (24%), and Bartolomei (16%). These growing areas give bright concentrated flavors with lower alcohols and higher natural acids while remaining rich and flavorful. The Amour Fou label story, however, remains the same. It is a voyeuristic look into a naughty '40s romance. The pangs and punishment of desire unfold with each vintage.
