Obsidian Ridge Syrah |
2005 Obsidian Ridge Syrah
We bottled the wine in June 2007 after 18 months in barrel with the true Syrah character of baked blueberries readily apparent. Wonderful smells of buttery pie crust and more complex counterpoints of dried sage and autumn leaves emerge with time. And the tannins, well the tannins are right and good — they are broad across the palate giving weight that is in balance with the density of the wine. |
