This wine is exceptional on a number of levels. A study not only in cool climate Pinot Noir, but in the potential of this site. Its cool climate rearing is seen in the concentration of dark fruit - black cherry, blackberry and plum evident in the nose and on the palate. With these flavors at its heart, the wine shows layers of spicy mocha, rose petal and a rich supple texture. The characteristics of the clones come forward in its earthy richness and its silky texture. It is at once intense and seductive, offering a firm structure along with a lingering finish that begs for exploration. Deep dark and rich, it is great now or will cellar for some years to come.
