This rich wine opens with gently perfumed notes of cola, dark fruits, asian spice box, dry herbs, smoke,
and damp earth. This complex bouquet continues on the palate, medium bodied, round, and welcoming.
Quite silky on the mid-palate, it finishes with well-defined, chalky tannins and refreshing acidity. As with
most of the wines from the 2005 vintage, this wine is easy to enjoy now, but will improve over the next 2-
4 years in the cellar. Pair it with salmon, grilled quail, or a wild mushroom risotto.
