2006 Sauvignon Blanc

This is pure, unadulterated Sauvignon Blanc. The nose is a mélange of orange blossom, lemongrass, kumquat with a hint of jalapeno pepper. The palate is firm, but surprisingly rich and long. While it’s absolutely delicious now, this 2006’s brisk acidity and dramatic fruit should allow it to age gracefully over the next few years. It is the perfect marriage to our chef’s char-broiled oysters with butter and garlic but is also the perfect complement to most chicken and fish dishes, and of course crusty French bread and goat cheese.
