Andrew Lane Wines Zinfandel |
2002 Zinfandel Chiles Valley
Andrew Lane zinfandel comes from the Chiles Valley appellation of Napa Valley located at 900 ft. elevation. As the crow flies the vineyard lies on the volcanic backside of Stag's Leap. The vineyard enjoys warmer temperatures than Napa and is influenced by afternoon breezes that ebb and flow from the great, water body mass of Lake Berryessa to the east. These breezes extend the growing season and coupled with the young volcanic soil produce a zinfandel that is absolutely phenomenal. Truly one of the finest zinfandels we have ever tasted! High alcohol with big, blueberry and chocolate flavors to back it up we suggest drinking this to finish an evening or close to where you will sleep. WOW!! |
