2005 Russian River Pinot Noir Reserve
Russian River Valley
The grapes for our Pinot Noir are harvested from four clones in separate vineyards along the sandy soils of the Russian River Valley. Using a classic Burgundy technique, the wine is cap punched two times a day during a long, slow fermentation. The result is a wine with bold flavors of cherry, plum and hints of spice. Additional aging gives this wine an incredibly silky texture that glides across the palate. I enjoy this wine with grilled salmon in a lemon caper sauce with rosemary potatoes.
