2003 Chameleon Petite Sirah Napa Valley
100% Petite Sirah from the Cooke vineyard just south of Calistoga. Vines are 45 years old. Soils are thin and gravelly so yields are generally in the 1-2 tons/acre range. 297 cases produced 15 months in French oak: 17% new barrels.
Great color and depth of fruit with excellent acidity. Will make any full-flavored cut of meat sing!!
