La Pommeraie Vineyard Chardonnay
Owned and farmed by George Martinelli, this vineyard on Frei Road was once an apple orchard. We chose the name La Pommeraie, french for apple orchard, to pay homage to the site and its history. This meticulously farmed vineyard is closely planted with a very high density of 2420 vines per acre. A blend of Dijon 95 and Old Wente Chardonnay selections this complex and powerful wine has amazing aromatic complexity and flavors of candied lemon and baked pear.
