Viticulture & Grower Relations Position

Job Description:
Merryvale Vineyards in Napa Valley is looking for an intelligent and hard-working individual to conduct our viticulture and grower relations program for Merryvale and Starmont wineries. This position is responsible for:
•Coordinating with growers and vineyard management companies on estate vineyards to ensure high quality and sustainably-focused wine grape production
•Serve as liaison between the vineyard and the winery. Provide winery with information on yields, quality, nutrient and disease issues, etc.
•Crop estimation
•Ensuring that the appropriate canopy and crop management techniques are employed on Estate vineyards and grower contracted vineyards
•Conduct the environmental sustainability program in the vineyards
•Harvest planning and oversight
Qualifications:
Qualifications/ Skills:
•A Bachelors degree in Viticulture, Horticulture or related field
•Viticulture experience
•Computer Skills including Excel & Word
•Must have a valid driver’s license
•Spanish recommended
