VALLECITO - Seizing an opportunity to go beyond the expectations of a winery, Irish Vineyards is reaching out to help the community’s less fortunate during the Holidays.
Irish Vineyard will be hosting a wine club appreciation event that will help assist Calaveras Counties “HRC Santa’s Express” to achieve donations for the upcoming Holiday season. Billie Westernoff, Director of the HRC food bank, stated that this year with the high price of gas and the decline in the Real estate market, there are far more in need than in previous years.
Wanting to be a better neighbor to all those in our community, The Irish’s event will offer its wine club members an evening to relax and enjoy the aromas, sounds and sights of the season while helping the community achieve a greater surplus of gifts and food for those struggling to make ends meet during this time of the year.
The event will occur on December 1, 2007 from 6-9 PM and will feature delicious appetizers, deserts, live carolers, mulled cider and wine, outdoor warming areas if weather permits, and beautiful decorations adding to the Christmas Cheer.
The fee to participate in this event is 2 or more can goods and or an unwrapped gift. The Irish Family will also donate a portion of there proceeds from the evening to help HRC Santa’s Express with any additional needs for the holiday season.
If at anytime anyone would like to drop off donations for HRC Santa’s Express, Irish Vineyards will have a large red box from the HRC to facilitate donations from now until December 10th. Please feel free to drop off your donations Friday-Tuesday from 11am – 5pm. The Irish Family will also donate a potion of the proceeds on any purchases made between December 1 and December 9th at the winery. This will be the perfect time to purchase your holiday wines and gifts while helping out the community.
