ABOUT US DeSaber is the upstart Washington, DC Wholesale Distribution division of an International Premium Quality Limited Availability Boutique Fine Wine business. The mission at DeSaber is to provide more upscale Hotel, Restaurant, Café and Shop (HoReCaSh) clients with access to our growing Cultivated Collection of dynamic, exclusive wines in the $10 to $30+ range. JOB DESCRIPTION DeSaber is seeking an Independent Wholesale Sales Associate to help us develop and serve the Washington, DC HoReCaSh market. This is a new position for the company and a significant amount of independent, responsible decision making is required in this position. Real opportunities for corporate and industry development and growth, directly proportionate to the success of this Associate (and the wholesale department by extension) exist with this position. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES • Secure new client business (both on- and off- premise) and maximize sales thereto • Work with clients to maximize placement and appearance of DeSaber wines at client location/s • Familiarize client employees with DeSaber wines via meetings, tastings, available information, etc. • Build lasting, positive relationships with decision makers and influencers (owners, chefs and other employees) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Create and drive profit for the Wholesale Sales Department • Maintain and present accurate up-to-date info on biz dev efforts including sales interactions, pipeline, figures, etc. • Interpret and leverage this data to make the best possible decisions for y/our sales, time management, resource allocation, etc. • Create accurate Purchase Order Requests for facilitation of delivery, billing, and payment coordination / collections • Contribute to / utilize internal company resources to intelligently source and develop new leads / opportunities • Work with clients and the DeSaber team to develop and maximize promotional efforts at client locations • Implement and follow Best Practices, including promotion of company and its products in a best-light brand-consistent manner • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including all DC and other government alcoholic beverage laws POSITION REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY • Passion for wine and desire to expand your knowledge and skills • Excellent sales / negotiation, lead generation / development and client service skills • High motivation to drive y/our wholesale department’s sales, profitability and brand / image • Outgoing self-starter with excellent planning, organization, time management and reporting skills • Strong ability to work independently and efficiently while demonstrating a high level of integrity • Outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills and superior writing capability • 2+ years of demonstrable ability to excel in a financial metric goal-driven environment

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have a smartphone • Must have clean driving record • Must have clean criminal record (No Misdemeanor/s in 5 years) • Must be willing to submit to and able to pass random drug testings • Must have (or acquire) a DC ABRA Solicitor’s License (We will guide) • Must have, at minimum, an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience • Must have intermediate knowledge of MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Must have at least 2 years outside sales experience - proven record of sales success preferred • Must be willing to work flexibly in accordance with client / corporate needs and/or requirements - i.e. Often more than 40 hours per week, including some early mornings / evenings / weekends • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively POSITION PROVIDES • Galaxy Tab 2 • Company Vehicle (Workday Usage ONLY) • All wine sales tools necessary to meet position demands • 10 to 15% Straight Commission + Annual Bonus (Performance-based) - Earnings of up to $5,000 per month possible for most capable candidates - Draw / Salary possible for candidates with established book that produces results • 25% Employee Discount (Limit of 12 Bottles per Month) • 1 Week UNSALARIED Vacation • 1 Week UNSALARIED Sick Leave POSITION DOES NOT PROVIDE: • Vehicle, Health (medical, dental, vision / etc.), Disability or Any Other type of Insurance • Travel Allowance or Expense Account / Reimbursement • Matching / 401K Program • Relocation Assistance TO APPLY SEND EMAIL TO Info(at)DeSaber.com / BEFORE YOU EMAIL US please check out our other websites first (BOH = BnCBrokers.com / FOH = DiVinoDirect.Com) as we do not focus on promoting the DeSaber side of our brand, we have a certain aesthetic in place and you may want to make sure you’re a fit before wasting y/our time.
