Details: Pairings restaurant in The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers has just launched Steals from the Vault, a vinophile’s dream. Hand-selected, 90+ rated wines, by the restaurant’s master sommelier, Jonas Atwood, will be offered for a mere $10 per glass. Beginning October 25th, Pairings’ bar will highlight two classic wines each Monday night. The Steals from the Vault series offers wine enthusiasts the opportunity to sample premium wines never before offered by the glass. The wines slated for the first four weeks of this program either meet or exceed the industry’s 90+ plus rating criteria. To qualify for a ninety-plus rating, a wine must be considered “outstanding,” and “of superior character and style” by wine experts. Highlights of this menu, available every Monday night at 5 p.m., include: First Week: NV Henriot ‘Blanc Souverain’ Blanc de Blancs 2005 Hall ‘Kathryn Hall’ Cabernet Sauvignon Second Week: 1999 Perrier-Jouet Fleur de Champagne 2005 Quintessa Third week: 2005 Marcel Deiss Beblenheim Pinot Gris, Alsace 2006 Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste, Pauillac, Bordeaux Fourth week: 2005 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Beaucastel, Rhone 2006 Chateau Larcis Ducasse, St. Emilion, Bordeaux About Pairings: Pairings melds contemporary American cuisine with a relaxed social atmosphere.
