Tasting Room/Wine Club Manager

Job Description:
Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard is looking for a Tasting Room/Wine Club Manager. We’re looking for someone with a passion for central coast wine as well as experience in this exciting industry. Our TR/WC Manager will oversee all aspects of the tasting room as well as our wine club. We’re looking for a dynamic and energetic individual that wants to lead Buttonwood in direct-to-consumer sales. The TR/WC Manager will split their time between Buttonwood’s tasting room and office.
Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of our tasting room
• Develop strategies to increase tasting room visitors and sales
• Schedule, supervise and train tasting room staff
• Collaborate on merchandising and stocking tasting room
• Plan and implement tasting room events
• Schedule and track success of tasting room promotions
• Monitor weekly sales of tasting room
• On-going wine education of tasting room staff on Buttonwood wines, as well as industry news
• Manage wine club, including quarterly shipments
• Increase club membership and revenue by building relationships and stimulating re-orders through newsletters and creative marketing concepts
• Plan and implement wine club promotions and events
• Manage shipping, both retail and wholesale
• Manage and oversee inventory maintenance of tasting room and winery in collaboration with other Buttonwood staff
Qualifications:
• Experience in wine sales and wine club management
• Passion and working knowledge of California wine
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in VinNow, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook; Internet resources; and/or other winery data management software
• Strong data-mining and analytical skills to utilize and understand customer base
• Exceptional customer service skills
• A proactive and personal approach to interacting with customers
• A team-player attitude and collaborative spirit
• This is a full-time position, with benefits. Candidate must be available for a Tuesday thru Saturday work week. The Tasting Room/Wine Club Manager will need scheduling flexibility for weekend, holiday and evening work
• Candidate must be able to lift 40+ lbs
