2004 Cabernet Sauvignon "La Vista"
Napa Valley-Stagecoach Vineyard

The legendary Stagecoach Vineyard rises to an elevation of 1700 feet above the eastern portion of Napa Valley’s Oakville district, stretching from the western side of Atlas Peak ...moreto the southern portion of Pritchard Hill. Cabernet Sauvignon grown on this site is prized for it’s intensity and complexity of flavor. Deep, saturated purple color is the introduction to this intense young wine. Black and red fruits, dark chocolate and baking spice with a dusting of fine tannins in a richly textured package suggest a good decade (or more) of cellaring, if one can resist the temptation to break out a bottle tonight.

2006 Sauvignon Blanc

Bright and Crisp, yet fuller and more generous than you expect with an uncommonly long finish.
Perfectly vine ripened grapes were hand sorted and whole-cluster cold pressed. ...more Multiple yeast fermentation started in a tank with the temperature slowly lowered to 45 degrees. The final stage of fermentation was in neutral oak barrels in our cool cave. Fermentation took five months, producing a generous amount of glycerin, contributing to the unique sensations it arouses in the mouth.

2006 was an exceptional vintage, especially for early ripening varietals like Sauvignon Blanc. The spring was warm and the summer mild. Winter rains waited until the last grapes were harvested.

This wine truly provides an unrivaled complexity and an exceptional depth.

2002 Pinot Noir
Cohn Vineyard

The 2002 Cohn Vineyard Pinot Noir reflects the evolution in the reductive, fruit forward style that is sweeping California Pinot producers. It is lush and round toward the front wi ...moreth a more distinct berry component. Pinot goes with a wider variety of food than any other wine. We often pair it with grilled salmon and seared tuna. We have two other Pinots, the Jemrose Vineyard, Bennett Valley, which is even more fruit centric than is the '02 Cohn and an Ashton Vineyard, Sonoma Valley, that is floral and spicy.

2006 "Bountiful Blanc"
Mencarini Vineyards

Our Bountiful Blanc is our first release of a white blend, and just in time! The blend combines both varietals, Symphony and Sauvignon Blanc, which come from local vineyards on the ...more east side of Lodi.

The pale straw colored wine starts with your typical floral nose, characteristic of the Symphony varietal. After slight aeration, bright fruit flavors of apricot and freshly cut grass surround the glass reminiscent of summertime. Our Bountiful Blanc is a well balanced, multi-purposed wine with just the right amounts of acid and natural fruit flavors.

The fresh and fruity nose combined with the long fruity finish make this wine the perfect summer aperitif. Enjoy this wine at a barbeque or picnic, on the water or in the woods, with light hors d’oeuvres, any fish or chicken dish, or just enjoy a glass by itself!

2005 Syrah
Mencarini Vineyards - Lodi

This is our first Syrah coming out of our own Mencarini Family Vineyards, and a proud completion for Abundance Vineyards.

The deep garnet color of this wine is typic ...moreal of most Syrahs, however the plum and oak nose of this wine set it apart from its competition.

Our 2005 Syrah has rich plum flavors balanced with ample tannins and oak. The long, fruity finish of this wine proves why it is a perfect example of Syrah, rich in flavor with a robust yet balanced structure.

Enjoy this wine with rich meat dishes, wild game, and anything in a heavy sauce.

2005 Red Blend
Mencarini Vineyards - Lodi

The 2005 ABUNDANTLY RICH RED is made entirely from our Mencarini Family grapes in Lodi. This vintage of our famous Rich Red is another stellar addition to our reputation for produc ...moreing outstanding, value oriented wines.

The rich blend of old California varietals Zinfandel and Carignane leaves nothing to the imagination. This wine is loaded with intense fruity aromas of Bing cherries, plums and blackberries in contrast with chocolate and toasty aromas contributed by the judicious use of oak barrels. The mouth feel is full with soft, ripe tannins, and the finish is long and almost sweet without being sugary.

This is a “zero intimidation” wine that can be enjoyed with a variety of foods. Cheers!

2005 Old Vine Zinfandel
Mencarini Vineyards - Lodi

Lodi holds a namesake for wonderfully sought after Old Vine Zinfandels. These Old Vines demand a kind of respect when caring for their fruit, thus yield a juice rich, spicy and per ...morefectly structured. This relationship can serve as a metaphor for the Mencarni family, who has served many generations, passing on their vines to third generation brothers, Dino and Ron.

Our Old Vine Zinfandel surrounds the palate sound and strurdy, eveloped in spicy clove and juicy berry concentrate. Mature oak tannins frame a well balanced, sturdy wine with moderate alcohol that enhances the lengthy finish. We have created a wine to sit and think about.

Enjoy this wine with a variety of foods from fresh tomato sauces on pastas, your favorite Italian food to grilled meats and BBQ or with and array of unique and strong cheeses. We also suggest simply enjoying this wine by itself; a true expression of a classical American Wine!

2002 Hammer Syrah
California

My Italian surname, Martella, translates to “hammer”, and this delicious wine “nails down” classic Syrah character. Somewhat less intense than my Camel Hill Syrah, its brig ...moreht fruit-driven flavors are accented with peppery spices and soft, rounded tannins. Keith Watts, a multi-generational farmer, grows Syrah for me in Lodi – his vineyards in the Central Valley give the wine jam-packed cherry/berry flavors. Jerry Yates, a biodynamic farmer in Mendocino County, provides me with Cabernet Sauvignon that adds tannin, acid and spice to the wine. Sixteen months of barrel aging in French and American oak add an extra layer of toasty spice to this velvet-wrapped hammer of a wine. Enjoy it with pastas in cooked tomato sauce and Italian sausage, grilled vegetables, lamb stew and spicy pizzas.

2003 Santa Cruz Mtns Syrah
Camel Hill Vineyard

This vintage is the second time I've harvested Syrah grapes from the Camel Hill Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Camel Hill Syrah reflects its French origins in a New World pe ...morersonality. It is a cool climate Syrah with the flavor concentration that comes from low-yielding vines. Its dark, earthy character is perfectly balanced by rich fruit sweetness resulting from ripeness, not from sugar. This aromatic wine smells like blackberries and violets, while in the mouth it is a big-bodied, rich wine with almost distilled black fruit flavors and a hint of eucalyptus. Soft, ripe tannins and a powerful, long finish are hallmarks of the Camel Hill Syrah. Big as it is, it’s still excellent to enjoy sipping by itself, but it is also delicious with grilled and roasted meats.

2003 Mendocino Syrah
Fairbairn Ranch Vineyard

This ruby-red Syrah has all the rich brightness and luscious fruit flavors that characterize the finest wines made from this grape variety. Plump plum and cherry flavors lead the w ...moreay, with a smooth, almost jammy texture that radiates into layers and layers of fruit-dominated taste. Smooth tannins add structure without bite or tartness, thanks to the unique climate of Mendocino County: its warm days and very cool evenings contribute to an exceptionally long hang time for red wine grapes, allowing full ripening of skin and seed tannins. All the Syrah grapes for this wine were grown at the Fairbairn Ranch, an organically, biodynamically-farmed hillside vineyard owned by Joe and Julie Golden, and farmed by Jerry Yates. This Mendocino Syrah will stand up to hearty, grilled lamb and beef dishes, paired with roasted root vegetables or cooked tomato sauces.vegetables, lamb stew and spicy pizzas.

2003 Fiddletown Zinfandel
Sierra Nevada Foothills

My brother Dick and I think the Grenache and Zinfandel he grows in Fiddletown make some of the most delicious wines we’ve ever had. The rocky slopes of this vineyard are sun-dren ...moreched throughout the growing season, producing fully ripe, fully delicious grapes. Our 2002 Fiddletown Zinfandel is Zin at its best – bursting with black berry sweetness and underlying peppery and cedar notes. Its tannins have power and structure, but they are soft and well balanced with the lush fruit. It’s a wine with layers and layers of flavors, a Zin to drink on its own with great pleasure. As a food wine, it is excellent with all kinds of tomato and barbecue sauces, and red meats from grilled hamburgers to filet mignon.
