2005 Pinot Noir

Very dark garnet in color, this layered Carneros Pinot Noir reveals bright black cherry and sandalwood aromas, with a hint of allspice. Full-bodied, velvety and lush, the palate de ...morelivers all the ripe fruit promised by the nose, with just a touch of toasty vanilla oak to complete the package. 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley

Displaying a beautiful dark garnet color, the bouquet of this Cabernet overflows with intense aromas of black currant, spice, and espresso. On the palate, this wine is full and ric ...moreh, delivering robust blackberry jam and dark chocolate layers, with almost no hint of the herbal quality that marks some Cabernet. 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Premiere Cuvee

To our knowledge, no other California winery is releasing a wine of this age and quality level. We are blessed with great vintages thought the nineties and this wine represents a d ...moreefinite peak of quality. This is a penetrating, dimensional and truly elegant wine with great structure and lovely balance. It is quite drinkable now, but will reward even further aging, possibly as much as another 10-15 years. Superb length.

2001 Granite Crown

From the same plot that gave us the marvelous syrah for the legendary bottlings of our Syrah Première Cuvée, this offering shows velvety, deep fruit flavors that suggest mulberry ...more and blueberry. The distinctive Renaissance terroir is evident in the minerality and in the remarkable depth of fruit. This is a very large-scale wine that, while drinking well now, will reward long-term aging. The refined tannin is very well worked and there is no hint of harshness while maintaining firmness on the palate.

2004 Cabernet Franc
McCoy Vineyard, Sonoma County

The McCoy Vineyard has long been praised for grapes of intense flavors and concentrated aromas and the 2004 vintage is no exception. Perched along the western slopes of the M ...moreayacamas Range, it overlooks northern Sonoma Valley, and is a lovely example of the varietal from a vineyard that has consistently provided St. Francis with exceptional fruit. Cabernet Franc ripens earlier and thrives in slightly cooler climates than its “sister” Cabernet Sauvignon. The small intensely flavorful clusters are hand-picked at a mature 25.5 Brix. A nice slow fermentation gives the wine richness and viscosity, and aging 24 months in both French and American oak has imparted a fullness to the wine’s mouthfeel. If you enjoy Cabernet Franc, this full-bodied vintage with notes of blackberry, cassis and leather will surely delight. Made in a very limited quantity, this single vineyard wine is available only at the Winery.

2005 Zinfandel
Dry Creek Valley

The family owned Zichichi Vineyard, located in the Dry Creek Valley, is often referred to as a “Zinfandel paradise.” Grapes grown in this northern Sonoma County appellation ben ...moreefit from long warm days followed by cool nights, producing fruit of unique quality and intensity. This old vine vineyard dates back to the 1930s and is an ancestral field blend of Zinfandel, Carignane and Petite Sirah. The 2005 harvest from the Zichichi family vineyard was hand-picked at 24.8 Brix, fermented on the skins to enhance color and flavor extraction, then aged 14 months in American oak. Deeply colored and ladened with flavors reminiscent of soft plumy fruit, boysenberry, currant and smoke, this full bodied wine finishes with a spicy edge and a sensual richness that Zin lovers won’t want to miss. Made in limited quantity, this single vineyard wine is available only at the Winery.

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Generation Series
Rutherford

The 2004 harvest was one of the earliest I can remember. A heat wave in early March forced budbreak and high temperatures continued throughout the summer. A hot spell in late Augus ...moret gave sugar levels a boost and we were ready to pick by September 10th. Despite the early harvest, fruit quality was great with plump berries and ripe flavors that have resulted in a very sexy, full-bodied wine with deep color and complex flavors.
