Whether it is grassy and crisp with apples and lemon or gooseberry, hay and lime, the flavors and aromas of Sauv Blanc are distinct and wonderful. $20 For those of you unfamiliar with how a blind tasting works, let me give you a quick primer. At each tasting we will feature a single varietal. (for example: Zinfandel). The Grapevine will select 5 wines of that varietal for the tasting. The wines will be placed in bags so you will not know the producers of the wines you are trying. The wines are poured into your 5 glasses and then you taste, swirling and sniffing and sampling over the next hour. You can take notes and choose your favorites if you like. At the end of the tasting, we will discuss the wines and then unveil them. The event usually takes about 1-1/2 hours. Each tasting is limited to 10 people.
