Details: Celebrate 40 years of iconic Napa Valley winemaking at the Cakebread Cellars Wine Dinner with us on Tuesday, June 4th at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, beginning at 6:30pm. Cakebread Cellars is among the most creative and successful family owned wineries in Napa. Since its founding in 1973, dedication to making the highest quality wines and a commitment to family has followed a continuum as their first small vineyard has grown into a thriving internationally distributed wine company. Over a five course dinner menu, designed by Chef Arnold Kruck to harmonize with each wine selection, guests will venture through the history and journey of Cakebread Cellars with Certified Wine Specialist and Regional Manager, Louis Insel. Upon arrival, at 6:30pm, guests will be greeted with a pre-dinner aperitif of the refreshing Domaine Carneros Brut. Dinner will begin at 7:00pm with a menu that consists of the following: First Course Baby Arugula and Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese with Heirloom Baby Tomatoes, Pumpernickel Croutons and White Balsamic Dressing Paired with Cakebread 2012 Sauvignon Blanc Second Course House Made Linguini Primavera with Fava Beans, Pea Shoots, Olive Oil Poached Grape Tomatoes and Wild Ramp Butter Paired with Cakebread 2011Chardonnay Third Course Arctic Char with Red Beet Risotto, Candy Cane Beets, Radish Sprouts and Black Garlic Vinaigrette Paired with Cakebread 2011 Pinot Noir Fourth Course Ancho Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Sweet Corn Puree, Crispy Fingerling Potatoes and Red Pearl Onions Paired with Cakebread 2010 Zinfandel Fifth Course Pan Seared Petite Filet with Parmesan Parisian Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach and Burgundy Butter Paired with Cakebread 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Dessert Course Fresh Local Strawberries, Pralines and Truffles Great food, great wine, great gathering of friends is the perfect pairing that drives Cakebread Cellars, and what will surely make this event a memorable night for all.
