| Details: Single-varietal wines certainly have their place, but in Italy, it’s often in blending that the magic happens. Stop in this Saturday from 12-4PM for a taste of some of Italy’s best blends of the moment, including:
2009 Le Sughere di Frassinello: A Tuscan blend of Sangioveto, Merlot and Cabernet that Antonio Galloni of the Wine Advocate called “simply dazzling in this vintage.” (93 WA)
2007 Sportoletti Villa Fidelia Rosso: A perennially top-scoring Bordeaux Blend from the unlikely origin of Umbria, this blend of Merlot, Cabernet and Cab Franc really shines. (93 WA)
White Wild Card: Each store will choose an Italian white wine of their liking this Saturday. Look for San Giovanni Il Lugana, a unique Trebbiano from Lombardy in Wayne, and other treats in Madison and Bernardsville.
